This is a junior level .NET development position that will have the opportunity to gain experience developing database driven Windows Forms applications relating to the company’s practice management / EMR solution for the physical, occupational, and speech therapy market. Development projects will include programming work on new features, updates, upgrades, bug fixes and the On-Site and Web based version of the TheraOffice software and its applications for the rehabilitation market. Working with customers, custom reporting and other custom development work to help new and existing customers. In addition, this position provides level II and level III customer support escalated by the technical support team for clients with technical support issues related to the application. A strong work ethic along with, problem solving skills, analytical skills, programming experience (C#, VB.NET, and SQL), organizational skills, initiative and the ability to work independently (general direction from the Vice President of Development Senior Developers) are all required.
• 1-2 years of experience with C# and or VB.NET. • 1-2 years of experience with SQL – specifically Microsoft SQL Server. • Knowledge of the Microsoft .NET Framework. • Commitment to seeing a project through to completion a must. • Project management experiences a plus. • Strong listening skills, organizational skills, communication skills and learning skills. • Assertive, energetic go getter, confident, resourceful, self-motivated and professional. • A “Do What It Takes” mentality and commitment to ongoing learning. • Strong desire to excel and strong desire for increasing responsibility. • Background with leadership, teamwork and achievement. • Highly motivated to make a difference in a growth company. Education • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent (Computer Science / Software Engineering background). • Knowledge of 3rd party UI controls and components. • High degree of knowledge of the Windows Family of operating systems. • Expert and passionate about computers, technology and software. Accountabilities • Ongoing development project list (i.e. Development for TheraOffice Web and On-Site products). • Custom development work (custom reports, alerts, tasks, and claim output). • Tests applications for compliancy and defects. • Research and apply new technology and software to new and existing products. • Work closely with customers and potential customers via phone, email, in-person meetings to determine customer needs. • Responds to management needs and business needs as required. • Trouble shoots software issues – level II and III support. • Supports Senior Developers and CTO with Theraoffice updates
