Chief Operating Officer, Sun Auto Tire and Service

Reports to: CEO

Location: US Remote

Direct Reports: 4-6

Travel requirement: +50%

Overview

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer will act as a strategic partner on the senior leadership team, working closely in a hands-on fashion with all team members to build a high performing and legendary service organization across the US. This is a key leadership  role requiring significant experience building a national retail sales and service organization with prior success.  This person will have demonstrated the drive for results with a passion for excellence,  people centric orientation and outstanding team building collaboration skills.


Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen the operations leadership team. Be in the field and take our already awesome team to new heights by further defining our vision and values and ensuring our culture reaches all levels within the operations organization
  • Enhance field operations by implementing consistent procedures, standards and KPI measurements
  • Lead and or influence our efforts to define our product and service mix and distribution model
  • Improve operational margins through more efficient labor deployment, service mix and pricing
  • Build our sales and service operations to support 6-8% SSS annual growth %  (Same Store Sales)
  • Drive the store and market expansion plans of the organizations by being a key player to determine where and how Sun Auto Tire & Service will add new stores via new acquisitions and or ground up new builds
  • Create operational standards and work with the training and development team to define curriculum to support our rapid growth and acquisition goals with the highest priority being around our people and safety platforms

Qualifications and Requirements
  • 10 years of senior level national retail sales management experience in a high-growth retail service industry
  • Known for building a legendary retail service organization
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment of constant change
  • Significant team building experience with references from all levels in the organization
  • M&A experience from a corporate development standpoint
  • Cultural traits of being service oriented, people centric, and a humble leader
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Private Equity is preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business

Other

  • Start date: Immediate
  • Compensation: $300-$350K Base plus 50% Bonus and highly competitive Equity package
