Job Summary:

The Walt Disney Company's Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) is a new, global business segment for The Walt Disney Company that is responsible for all monetization of content—both distribution and ad sales—and oversees the operations of the Company’s streaming services, including Disney+ (including Star and Disney+ Hotstar internationally), Hulu, and ESPN+ and domestic broadcast and cable television networks. DMED brings together the Company’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization, with the goal of expanding the footprint of Disney’s world-class content and beloved brands and delivering highly-personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world. DMED works in close collaboration with Disney’s Studio, General Entertainment, and Sports content creation teams on programming and marketing for the streaming services and networks.

An opportunity exists to join the Finance Team at the Senior Financial Analyst level supporting the DMED Technology organization. This position will work closely with Technology leaders to plan and analyze departmental and project spend, evaluate strategic concepts, and present recommendations. This position will interact with many stakeholders and build strong relationships with business leaders to deliver on strategic, financial, and operational goals of the business. The ability to work in an ever changing, dynamic environment will be critical to success.
The responsibilities of this position reports to the Manager – Technology Planning.


  • Support the Technology Pillars of either Software Engineering or Advertising Platforms operating and capital expenditures for DMED Technology
  • Build, evolve, and analyze the financial model, trends, and changes related to said Pillar
  • Measure operating and capital expenditures against key performance metrics aligning spend with business strategy
  • Collaborate with the Technology Organization on all Planning and Project related aspects
  • Review operational spend and dictate storytelling bringing forth relevant trends, concerns, and solutions to influence change
  • Evolve planning processes with a focus on efficiency and improving forecast accuracy
  • Support and support ad hoc special projects, financial analyses, and reports
  • Partner with various teams including Controllership, Human Resources and other Technology Pillars/Teams to support day to day deliverables and processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a highly collaborative culture
  • Exposure working in cross matrixed organizations
  • Experienced in client facing relationships with a focus on delivering results
  • Highly proficient in managing multiple deliverables
  • Comfortable working in a faced paced environment
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skillset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills interacting with various leadership levels
  • Excels at working collaboratively within a team or individually
  • Intellectual curiosity connecting operational spend to business brands

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in corporate financial planning and analysis
  • Experience working with Cognos TM1, Hyperion, or other ERP system

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Accounting

Preferred Education

  • MBA or CPA preferred
