Job Description

The Global Product Creation (GPC) team is responsible for creating, developing, and
bringing to life Disney merchandise across Disney Parks, Disney Stores, wholesale, and licensed
products sold across the world. As a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the GPC team, you will help
provide financial and analytical support as well as engage in ad hoc analyses for the Merchandise line of
business. The Senior Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to develop broad partnerships and
interact with executive level leaders. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Finance. 

The SFA will also support the core financial planning processes (AOP, long-term plan, forecasts) for the
Global Operations team who are responsible for driving process improvements, identifying operational
efficiencies, and ensuring best practices in the development of creative content and products. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial analysis and decision support for various projects such as new business opportunities, pricing analysis, technology projects, etc. 
  • Closely support the GPC Strategy team on all product-driven non-Parks/DTCR projects
  • Engage with partners at all levels to gather insights and information
  • Create and develop the forecasts, AOP, and Long Term Plan for Global Operations
  • Monitor financial performance, research variances, and identify risks and opportunities
  • Create month end reports and forecast presentations 
  • Effectively communicate financial information to executive level leadership and develop executive level presentations
  • Engage in ad-hoc financial analysis across the Merchandise line of business  

Required Qualifications:  (Minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.) 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 2+ years of prior work experience
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, ability to develop financial models to evaluate projects
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Demonstrated presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levels within an
  • organization
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities
  • Structured problem solver, ability to be creative and initiate problem solving


Desired Qualifications:

  • Finance background
  • Understanding of financial processes, P&L statements, key decision metrics – NPV, IRR, and key accounting metrics 
  • Knowledge of Merchandise business and operations a plus
  • Experience with accounting systems including SAP and Cognos
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI a plus
