Senior Manager Aftermarket Operations


The Senior Manager Aftermarket Operations is responsible for working closely with Nixon’s Aftermarket Operations Executive to develop, refine and implement strategies focused on driving results that achieve target goals and objectives. . This leadership role will work with Managers across all departments, primarily Aftermarket and Sales to focus on key process, performance and customer critical to all outcomes within the functional area of operations.


This position is based in Lavergne, TN and reports to Nixon’s Aftermarket Operations Executive.



  • LMA (Lead, Manage & hold Accountable) – NPS Aftermarket Operations
  • Lead, coach and manage a direct reporting staff to include
    • 5 Aftermarket Operations Managers
    • Parts Manager (inventory management planning and operations)
    • Master Technician & Trainer
    • Technical Support Adviser
    • Warranty Administrator
  • Establishes, tracks and maximizes operating/support function efficiencies and productivity; ensuring performance goals are achieved
  • Ensures efficient development, utilization, and evolution of formal procedures/processes/etc. (field/shop/office) - continuous improvement initiatives to achieve quality ‘output’ & customer service while maximizing profitability
  • Oversees recruitment and development of business segment personnel team
  • Assists in key sales opportunities (Product and Aftermarket)
  • Oversee operational facility maintenance
  • Ensures consistency/utilization of all company policies
  • Warranty administration
  • Technical Training/Development
    • Oversees the “capabilities assessment” of technician team members, which includes development and execution of related training programs
    • Ensures proper/adequate related tooling resources
  • Service Fleet Management
    • Oversees the service vehicle fleet 
  • Safety/Compliance
    • Leads setting and execution of company-wide safety objectives
    • Oversees promotion of the branch safety program
    • Ensures Operations compliance w/all Company & regulatory laws/guidelines, including OSHA, DOT and other applicable regulations and associations
  • Customer Service
    • Contributes to and oversees operational excellence and superior customer satisfaction via scheduling, dispatching, billing , warranty submission, and training
    • Establish and maintain working relationship with key customers


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience); with previous six sigma, lean operations, or other continuous improvement methodologies experience preferred



  • Consistently demonstrate positive attitude, accountably, customer focus, competitive nature, and team player approach
  • Self-starter, exercising good judgment and decision-making
  •  Ability to positively lead, motivate and mentor team members, while also maintaining a strong culture of accountability
  •  Work independently and in team environments, under pressure
  •  Manage complex spreadsheets
  •  Travel extensively throughout Nixon’s territory to maintain consistent “field presence”; Clean driving record required
  •  Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  •  Quick learner with the ability to teach others complex data, process and control tasks
  •  Experience in managing direct reports and associated staff members with complex processes and talks
  •  Experience with CRM, Crystal Reports and Great Plains Dynamics applications is preferred
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
