Pelletizer Systems Sales Representative (Western US)

The Pelletizer Systems Sales Representative sells product in the Maag family of equipment to include: plastic pelletizing systems (underwater and strand), pulverizing systems, pump systems and filtration systems using technical, organizational and customer knowledge to influence customers’ decisions.  Partnering with the customer to help them to meet their business needs is the primary focus and key to success in this role.In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning and technical development of products and services. Working independently but supported by others, the incumbent is the representative to our customers for all products

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Independently travels to act as the company’s primary sales representative to the customer.

  • Conducts customer visits to provide equipment specifications, troubleshooting, advise maintenance and/or repair activities as required.

  • Provides customer operational training in as needed.

  • Represents the company and collects customer feedback to feed continuous improvement opportunities across RES.

  • Acts as a technical consultant to the customer to assist in the sales process.

  • Negotiates contracts and pricing within established guidelines.

  • Completes reports as needed to document activities and meet business needs.

  • Collaborates closely with others in the organization to include engineering, operations, parts, and sales to develop customer focused solutions.

  • Other tasks as assigned by manager.

  • Work in this position is both in an office and a factory floor environment, either locally or at a customer site.  While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.


  • High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus)

  • Technical training in electrical systems (single-phase, 3-phase or low voltage systems)

  • Min 5 years of experience in an Outside Sales position

  • Experience in plastics processing or rotational molding highly desirable

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks

  • Independent self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate and avoid issues

  • Strong team player, work ethic and commitment to win

  • Customer-focused

  • Ability to travel 50% both US and International.
