Reporting to the CEO initially, and the Director of Automation Sales after a transition period, the Manager of Electrical will act as a Hands on Lead of the Electrical Products Sales Support Team.  



The Manager of Electrical will own the 8 person team that supports Electrical Products Sales. The Manager will drive overall growth and increase profitability in a variety of methods, including participating in prospective and new client visits, supporting Robotics team’s growth initiative, and streamlining existing vendor partners. 


The manager will refocus the Electrical Products Manufacturing and Service lines to bring focus onto capabilities that will drive profit and lead to increased business. Planning, organization and structure will be critical focus. This is a roll up your sleeves roll, with expectation that the Manager will contribute in areas such as design, build of simple and complex electrical panels and robotics assembly as needed. 


Primary Responsibilities 

  • Provide hands on leadership; effectively guide, oversee, and deliver quality products in a timely manner. 

  • Research and introduce latest industry available technologies for usage. 

  • Contribute to company’s system engineering efforts and support engineering development roadmap.  

  • Improve product development process in Electrical Engineering group. 

  • Closely collaborate with mechanical engineering and software programming to improve overall product development process and products. 

  • Collaborate with operations and service departments to meet target dates for customer orders and field changes. 

  • Provide ongoing production support. 

  • Manage the Engineering staff to ensure operating within the company policies and processes while meeting deadlines. 

  • Manage engineering staff for proper documentation, revision, and corrections. Ensure BOM’s are updated and corrected for future designs.  

  • Establish cross training amongst Engineers. 

  • Responsible for design compliance with industry standards. 

  • Evaluate product development and designs for cost and availability. 




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Robotics degree with electrical engineering focus a plus. 

  • AutoCAD experience required, Solid Works experience a plus. 

  • 7-10 years of direct supervisory experience - Ability to manage 10+ people. 

  • Strong project-based disposition 

  • Ability to see all projects through to completion and within budget. 

  • Operational competency.  

  • Experience with building electrical panels. 

  • Strong understanding of 80/20, robotics and/or Bosch Rexroth channel products desired.  

  • Strong computer and software aptitude. 

  • Excellent communication and customer relations/service skills. 

  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure or deadlines to meet customer expectations both internal and external.
