  • The candidate will be working with Global Marketing, Advance Development & Architecture teams to drive software architecture for new ultra-low power SoCs on Ambiq’s technology and product roadmaps.
  • Help analyze requirements at system level and define appropriate hardware/software partitioning to meet overall design objectives, working together with SoC Architects.
  • Develop high level software specifications, establish end to end use cases and flows, and drive design reviews for base software infrastructure, including initialization, power management, RTOS interfaces, memory management, interrupts & inter-process communication.
  • Lead development efforts towards enablement of new RTOS's and frameworks on Ambiq SoCs
  • Work with the Software Development teams to transition architecture specification into Ambiq’s products
  • Interface with customers to understand critical infrastructure requirements and deployment scenarios for enablement of Ambiq solutions with best power-performance profile.


  • BS/MS (EE, CE, or CS) with 10+ years of Embedded Software development experience with embedded systems/real-time environments (bare metal and RTOS).
  • At least 4 years’ experience working with RTOS internals, FreeRTOS preferred. 
    • Prior experience with a variety of embedded RTOS ecosystems, specifically involvement with initial enablement for: FreeRTOS, mbed OS, Zephyr, NuttX etc on ARM M-Class microcontrollers is preferred.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the IoT space.
    • Prior experience with enablement of AI frameworks like Tensorflow(micro) and Pytorch is preferred
  • Prior experience working on symmetric or heterogenous multi-core platforms including ARM/DSP
  • Familiarity with MCU peripherals including SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, I2S and PDM is required. 
  • Experience developing in embedded C, assembly language and C++.
  • Experience doing performance modeling and optimization preferred
  • Experience with software testing and test automation & defect management practices.
  • Prior DSP experience is a plus
