  • The candidate will be working with a Global Marketing, Advance Development & Architecture teams to drive security architecture for new ultra-low power SoCs on Ambiq’s technology and product roadmaps.
  • Help define security flows and requirements at system level and appropriate hardware/software partitioning to meet overall security objectives, working together with SoC Architects.
  • Develop high level software specifications, establish end to end use cases and flows, and drive design reviews for security software, including secure boot, updates, provisioning, debug, lifecycle management and run time services.
  • Work with the Software Development teams to transition architecture specification into Ambiq’s products
  • Interface with customers to understand critical security requirements and deployment scenarios for enablement of Ambiq security solutions through product lifecycle
  • Support post-silicon analysis, security testing and delivery of secure products to customers for mass production
  • Work with other Software Architects and Development teams to ensure security is thought through as a core design criteria across various functions.
  • Keep up with latest in IoT security, threat modeling/assessment and certification requirements to ensure Ambiq products stay at the leading edge of the technological advancements as driven by the marketplace. 
  • Support third party security audits & certifications


  • BS/MS (EE, CE, or CS) with 10+ years of Embedded Software development experience with embedded systems/real-time environments (bare metal and RTOS).
  • At least 5 years’ experience working on Embedded Security, cryptography, and secure boot.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and protocols including Public Key Infrastructure
  • Experience with Arm chipset and firmware security (TrustZone, secure boot and CryptoCell).
    • Prior experience with Arm Cortex-M based designs targeting wearable/IoT and mobile products strongly preferred
  • Experience developing in embedded C and assembly language with a focus on system initialization and low-level code.
  • Understanding of software testing and test automation principles & defect management practices.
  • Prior Experience developing and/or integrating security architectures from idea to specification to design & implementation is strongly preferred
  • Experience with Platform Security Architecture (PSA), Trusted firmware and secure firmware update flows preferred
  • Prior experience dealing with security audits and general awareness of latest trends and developments in embedded security world preferred.
