Scope and Responsibilities
The SoC Security Architect will be responsible for developing security solutions for next-generation ultra-low power Ambiq SoC products. The candidate will work with the Marketing, Advanced Development and Engineering teams to develop next generation security architecture specifications and ensure delivery into Ambiq products. Areas of interest include: low power embedded SoCs, cryptographic accelerators/algorithms/protocols, security threat modeling/assessment, security architectures such as Platform Security Architecture (PSA)/Trustzone and Trusted Execution Environments. The candidate will have sufficient experience with system level architecture and requirements on the overall SoC architecture, hardware/software partitioning, threat modeling, attack vector analysis, asset protection, lifecycle state management and provisioning processes. This position will report directly to the VP of Architecture.
The candidate should be comfortable with independent specification, analysis and development from high level concepts through design and validation as well as collaborative development with software and hardware engineering. A deep knowledge of security architectures, flows, standards/protocols in embedded systems specifically targeting wearable, IoT and mobile systems is critical along with specific experience delivering security solutions to market. Candidate must have experience with defining threat models and performing threat assessments along with experience in security testing/certification. A working knowledge of general SoC architecture, multi-processor communication, cryptographic hardware and fabric interconnect (AHB, AXI, NoCs) is required. The candidate should be comfortable with full system dataflows and modeling to guide hardware and software analysis and development. Good written and oral communication is a must. Candidate must be able to effectively drive security testing engagements and security procedures across full product development supply chain.
