Position Summary: Support for all employees (union and non-union), Supervisors, and Managers regarding all HR administrative issues, benefits, recruiting, onboarding and compensation at multiple mill sites.
**Please note - the location for this position is in Natural Dam, NY.
· Responsible for recruiting needed employees, handling workforce issues/problems over multiple mill locations as assigned, and assuring that current HR practices are in place and within all federal, state and local requirements.
· Maintains all employee files as per company policy.
· Any other duties as assigned.
· Coordinates sensibly with other HR resources in Company to assure a common approach when needed.
Education, Experience and Skills Required: Must possess at least five years experience in the human resources and employee relations field. Must have union experience. Must possess significant computer skills including access and spreadsheets. Excellent mathematical, financial and verbal and written communication skills are required. Must be able to work well with others as a team member. Detailed knowledge of all Federal and State laws and regulations affecting employment law. P.H.R. certification preferred.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for 4+ hours per day at a desk and computer terminal. Must be able to travel to mills on a regular basis, outside educational seminars, and must be able to handle numerous projects at once with time deadlines. Must work accurately and have the ability to prioritize. Understands and is prepared to handle work demands outside of normal working hours.
