About the Position

Their growth team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to communicate with business executives that have expressed interest in working with our client on their insurance. This is a sales position that carries the responsibility of developing sales opportunities over phone, email and chat. You will be interacting with hundreds of business executives on a weekly basis, speaking to them about their business’ risk and how our client's technology and expertise make it easy to reduce their cost of risk.

Bird's eye view of the role:

  • Communicate with business executives: Understand their business’ risk, their existing insurance program and broker relationship(s). Answer questions from potential and existing client executives via phone, email and chat.

  • Prequalify: Determine a business’ needs and setting up a productive conversation with one of our our client's industry experts.

  • Outbound calling (80-100 calls per day): Follow up with potential business executives to encourage them to meet with one of our experts or complete an application for insurance. Gather insurance policies,  confirm that the application has been submitted successfully, and serve as the liaison between the business executive and our client.

  • Develop and execute on cold calling and email campaign strategies to qualify potential customers as a match for our client's technology and expertise.

  • Qualify outbound opportunities and develop a strong demo pipeline for their sales team via phone and email communications.

Our ideal teammate has:

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from top tier university with strong track record of collaboration

  • Outgoing, positive-energy, and enjoys talking with people

  • Willingness to roll up their sleeves and dig in to help drive our business forward

  • Interest in small and medium business and entrepreneurship

  • Enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, start-up environment
