Job Overview

The Master Data Specialist position will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and integrity of data in the item master. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and is driven to do work correctly, taking pride in accomplishing work accurately, efficiently, and expeditiously.  A proven track record of critical-thinking & problem-solving skills will demonstrate readiness for this role.  Comfort with technology and cloud-based systems, spreadsheets and data manipulation are essential. Only “hands-on” change agents with a “results-driven” mindset, ready to tackle new challenges should consider this role.

Responsibilities and Duties

·         Responsible for creation, maintenance and integrity of data in the system of record related to item master and all business partners; including suppliers and customers

·         Review of requests for new or modified business partners and item master to ensure they are in line with established standards

·         Facilitate the workflow process in the ERP system, working directly with the internal customers (plant, sales, procurement, corporate departments) to get requests input into system appropriately and ensure workflow process is followed

·         Initiates and participates in projects or actions to improve the overall performance quality of master data handling

·         Ensure that all company controls are adhered to and provides guidance to other departments as necessary, where it concerns item master data integrity

·         Experienced in data formatting, data manipulation, and data entry into the database for the system of record

·         Performs other duties as assigned

 Qualifications

·         BA/BS in similar disciplines and equivalent work experience

·         Experienced with developing, planning and implementing data management projects

·         3-5 years’ experience in item master data management

·         Expertise in spreadsheets and data manipulation

·         Experience with using the Adobe suite of products a plus

·         Ability to build relationship and collaborate with cross-functional team

·         Detail oriented with strong project management skills

·         Confident functioning in a “start-up” environment
